What You’ll Do:
- Provide assistance to Service Department for vehicles and equipment.
- Observe, listen and learn from the Service Manager.
- Follow check lists, ensuring all critical parts are examined.
- Responsible for writing complete repair descriptions on work order, including correct model and serial number of equipment and hour meter reading.
- Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks as needed.
- Test-drive vehicles to ensure that they run smoothly.
- Operate equipment as needed to diagnose and repair.
- Tag all warranty parts and returns to Warranty Administrator.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer happiness.
- Must keep up with spending and travel receipts. Expense reports must be turned in weekly.
Experience:
- Experience with online parts and service manuals as well as diagnostic software.
- Diesel Mechanic College preferred or equivalent work experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills and experience.
If you have experience in any of these, even better…
- At least 1 year of mechanical experience preferred.
- CDL Certification or desire to acquire certification preferred.
