Data Analyst
Newmark is seeking a Data Analyst to support our data collection and vetting processes for real estate listings, and to support the analytical needs of the data and operations technology team. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of the data by managing outreach efforts and collaborating closely with internal teams. You will drive the implementation of best practices for data management and workflow optimization to improve the quality and reliability of listing information. The ideal candidate has a quantitative background, an interest in real estate data, a detail-oriented approach, and a passion for ensuring high-quality data to support business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Data Reporting and Analysis: Create and present reports that provide insights into data operations, identifying trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Use data analysis to inform decision-making and optimize workflows.
Data Vetting and Quality Assurance: Validate real estate availability listings, ensuring data accuracy, timeliness, and completeness. Conduct regular audits to identify inconsistencies and implement strategies to improve data quality.
Research and Development of Contacts and Company Lists: Continuously research and develop lists of contacts and companies relevant to real estate data collection. Build a network of reliable data sources to expand the scope and depth of listings.
Outreach for Data Collection and Vetting: Execute outreach efforts to gather data, collaborating directly with key industry contacts and companies to collect and vet real estate listing information. Ensure that data collected meets internal quality standards.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key contacts and companies, ensuring ongoing collaboration and access to high-quality data sources.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, or a related quantitative field.
Interest in real estate data collection, validation, and market analysis.
Deep experience with Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
Desire to learn about the commercial real estate industry, including market trends, property data, and transaction dynamics.
Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, brokers, and industry contacts.
Experience with outreach and data research.
Proficiency in using real estate data platforms, market analytics tools, and CRM systems.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working with cross-functional teams in business development and data management.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy and completeness.
