ABOUT US:

SUMMARY:
Responsible for ensuring uninterrupted, cost-effective supply of raw materials that support Afton business goals and operations, including production, contract manufacturing, resale operations, R&D and corporate departments. This is the entry level for direct purchasing responsibilities and will primarily focus on supporting the team with projects using data driven analytics, updating multiple information systems, and will typically work under supervision. The role will be responsible for a portfolio of annual spend of less than $20MM.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE MINIMUMS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Economics, Math, Chemistry or related field
- Demonstrated effective communication, negotiation and organizational skills typically acquired through 3 or more years of relevant or related experience
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Purchasing or directly relevant experience
- Work experience in the petroleum additive, lubricant, or chemical industry
- Professional Certification, such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or similar certification (e.g. CIPS, CPIM, CPM)
