The Happiness Engineer is responsible for managing the technology for and relationships with a group of clients. This position's first and most important requirement is the ability to listen attentively and with compassion and then respond quickly, comfortably, and with care.
The engineer role is a combination of senior technical engineer, account manager (minus the sales aspect), and client technical advisor. This means communicating with multiple clients daily and weekly to gauge satisfaction regarding projects, tickets, and overall happiness with their technology and to remediate any delivery issues uncovered during these conversations.
To facilitate happiness with technology for a designated set of clients, this role requires you to become a trusted advisor, a position we earn over time with our clients. We gain this trust by continually recommending and successfully implementing technologies and solutions that make our clients’ work lives better, easier, and more fun.

- Effective communication skills; communicating responsively, comfortably, and with care.
- Be self-motivated.
- Working knowledge of “All of the Technology” typically found in a small/mid-sized business environment (wired and wireless networks, printers, workstations, servers, domain controllers, email systems, phone systems, backup systems, etc.)
