The salary range offered for this role is USD $53,920- 64,030. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.

About This Role
The Engineering Technician will be responsible for providing survey and engineering information promptly.
Your role will consist of
- Drive around a mine site in a safe and appropriate manner, following all rules and procedures.
- Learn and follow safety rules, report hazards, and take responsibility for your actions.
- Demonstrate excellent listening and strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Learn how to use various survey equipment.
- Follow established processes to complete all mine site survey tasks.
- Use mine planning and drawing software to produce maps to use in engineering and mine operations
- Strive to make safety the foundation to everything you do and offer suggestions for improvement when you see them.
Skills
Your Training, Skills & Experience checklist
- Able to drive a motor vehicle, and must possess a valid driver’s license with at least one-year of driving experience.
- Able to read, write, and possess basic math and science skills to complete daily reporting requirements.
- Reliable, consistent work history.
- Entry level, no experience required in mining.
- AutoCAD, Trimble Business, Point studio, Excel and Pix4D computer skills preferred.
- GPS (Trimble tsc7), S6 and I-site scanner skills preferred.
- Although an entry level position, experienced surveyors preferred.
- This role is based in the United States at the Cripple Creek & Victor Mine, located in Teller County, Colorado. The mine is at an altitude up to 10,400 above sea level.
- This position is 100% site based, however additional work may be required outside of the normal site schedule as business needs require.
- The position is based at site on a roster Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
