Your impact

The Specialist Fixed Reliability is responsible to assess and improve fixed asset reliability through standard methodologies, root cause analyses, data analytics, operations collaboration, defect elimination and analysis of asset strategy effectiveness to ensure business objectives are met.

In This Role, The Individual Will

  • Assess regular assessments of fixed plant performance to identify areas for improvement and maintain optimal operation.
  • Assess current asset management strategies for fixed plant equipment, identify gaps and areas needing enhancement to enhance reliability.
  • Assess and rank initiatives aimed at enhancing fixed plant equipment reliability, based on business needs and potential impact.
  • Formulate and execute programs focused on improving the reliability of fixed plant equipment, applying standard methodologies and innovative solutions.
  • Coordinate and run site reviews to assess the effectiveness of fixed plant management practices and collect feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with team members, including operations and maintenance teams, to collect input and maintain alignment with asset handling strategies.
  • Conduct root cause analyses on fixed plant failures to identify underlying issues and formulate corrective actions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fixed plant reliability and deliver regular reports on progress and outcomes.
  • Formulate and execute training programs for maintenance and operations personnel on standard methodologies for fixed plant reliability.
  • Apply data analytics tools to assess equipment performance data, identify trends, and formulate data-driven decisions to improve reliability.

Prerequisites for success in this role

  • Practical previous role responsibilities in asset reliability, data analysis, and performance reporting are essential.
  • A formal education in engineering or training in reliability concepts and tools are essential.
  • Former responsibility for creating/optimizing asset strategies is beneficial.
  • The Specialist Fixed Reliability requires competency in reliability systems and programs, defect elimination, root cause analysis, and asset strategy optimization.
  • Competency in data analytics is required.
  • Foundational knowledge and skills in MS Office applications like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is also a must.

The expected salary range for this role is CAD $ 118,320 to 155,295. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

Salary : $118,320 - $155,295
