As a key leader in our Total Rewards team, you will drive the strategy and design of our non-executive compensation programs. Your expertise will ensure our pay structures are competitive, equitable, and aligned with business objectives, enabling us to attract, retain, and motivate top talent. This position reports to the Head of Executive Compensation and Broad-Based Compensation Strategy.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $146,250 - 204,750. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance. This role also will be eligible for participation in a discretionary long-term incentive program, pursuant to which an employee may receive awards based on their level and individual performance.

Your impact

As part of our team you will
- Develop and refine compensation strategies for base pay, job architecture, recognition, and incentives.
- Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and Operations to align pay programs with business goals.
- Analyze market trends, benchmarking data, and regulatory changes to optimize compensation programs.
- Leverage technology and data analytics to enhance compensation processes and reporting.
- Provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership on compensation design and strategy.
- 10 years of progressive experience in compensation strategy or total rewards within a medium to large multinational organization.
- 5 years of experience managing compensation programs in a large organization (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree or higher preferred).
- Strong knowledge of broad-based compensation principles, pay regulations, and market analysis.
- Advanced skills in data analytics, HR systems, and compensation tools.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Global Remuneration Professional (GRP), or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) are a plus.
- Exposure to executive compensation is a plus.
- Global team collaboration in a fast-paced, people-focused organization.
- Opportunities to work with senior leadership on compensation strategies.
- Hybrid work flexibility with an emphasis on work-life balance—primarily remote work arrangement, with in-office presence for key stakeholder meetings as needed (typically 3 to 4 days per month).
- Authorization to work in the United States is required, with Denver as the preferred location (remote work with quarterly travel to Denver may be considered).
