Your Impact

Lead and drive enterprise and asset-level modeling, financial evaluations, scenario analysis, and risk/uncertainty modeling to inform and drive Asset Strategy scenarios and key value drivers.

As part of our team, you will

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Asset-level and Enterprise models to ensure veracity and consistency in modeling approach.
  • Oversee the financial assessment of portfolio strategies, analyzing financial data at the site level and on a portfolio-wide scale. Assess financial choices across enterprise, functional, and operational levels.
  • Develop enterprise, functional, and operational scenarios that meet financial targets.
  • Lead Asset, Project Options Analysis
  • Devise approach and direct risk modeling at both the asset and enterprise levels understanding and modeling implications not only on finances but also on social, environmental, and commercial aspects as well.
  • Investigate impact of results of Asset Impairment Analysis and generate potential consequences
  • Maintain governance and direct application of asset evaluation work in studies, projects, corporate development, and sites
Prerequisites for your success in this role

  • Professional designation: Finance/Business-highly preferrable; Engineering a bonus.
  • Preferred experience in mining industry.
  • Experience in deep analytics, data interrogation and scenarios
  • Broad understanding across operations, planning, capital projects, sustainability, finance, and risk
  • Familiarity and experience with due diligence to support M activities
  • Understand interdependencies and risk/opportunity characterization related to portfolio development.
  • Advanced proficiency and broad experience in Evaluation Modeling architecture, development, optimization and utilization.
  • Experience with large data set manipulation and management Advanced proficiency in completing broad tasks that impact many parts of the business and managing time constraints, competing priorities and tradeoffs.
  • Experience and aptitude modeling risk and uncertainty to complement financial and physical parameters.
  • Strong understanding of project management, advancing projects ranging from new discoveries to feasibility and execution of multiple large -scale projects, including ability to shift focus and reprioritize.
  • Strong competency in commercial skills: budgets, forecasting, planning, analysis, reporting and communicating results.

  • The position is open to qualified candidates located near our corporate headquarters, regional offices, or any of our site locations.
  • Collaboration and interaction are expected with teams across the global, regional, and site organization as well as across other service and operational areas of Newmont across multiple time zones.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $146,250 - 204,750. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance. This role also will be eligible for participation in a discretionary long-term incentive program, pursuant to which an employee may receive awards based on their level and individual performance.
