Overview

The reimagined Newport Beachside Hotel and Resort will relaunch as The Sunny, Miami’s new premier beachside retreat. We are looking for a dynamic and results driven Director of Sales and Marketing to lead our Sales team and drive revenue growth. The future Sunny in the heart of Sunny Isles Beach is poised to redefine the beach getaway experience offering a perfect blend of rich history and unparalleled amenities. The resort will feature 339 spacious guest rooms, an eclectic private art collection, six food and beverage outlets, a fitness center, spa & salon, ocean-front pool with tiki bar and fire pits, beach club, and over 22,000 square feet of event space, including a unique oceanfront terrace.  As the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize revenue, increase market share, and enhance our brand presence. Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

 

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, travel agencies, and corporate partners
  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends
  • Lead a sales team, providing guidance and support
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize guest experiences and drive sales
  • Conduct sales presentations and negotiations with potential clients
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial performance of the sales department
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to stay ahead of the market

 

Qualifications

What you bring to the table:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in hotel sales or a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
  • Track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Strategic mindset and ability to analyze market data and trends
  • Proficiency in sales software and CRM systems
  • Flexibility to travel and work irregular hours as needed
