What are the responsibilities and job description for the VIVA! PM Dishwasher position at Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort?
We’re looking for dedicated and hardworking stewards to join our team at ¡VIVA by Ray Garcia. As a steward, you’ll be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and supporting the culinary team by ensuring all tools and equipment are ready for use. Your role is essential to the success of our reimagined dining experience.
- Dishwashing Excellence: Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently and thoroughly.
- Kitchen Organization: Ensure all items are stored in their proper places, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Support the Team: Assist chefs and cooks by keeping stations stocked and clean during service.
- Safety and Sanitation: Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and report any malfunctions or issues with dishwashing or kitchen equipment.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations and an excellent guest experience.
- A strong work ethic and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy items, stand for extended periods, and work in a hot, humid environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required.
