The Access Team Leader is responsible for managing front desk operations, centralized scheduling, and the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Team. This role will drive the consumer and employee experience in an open access model. The Team Leader will help staff develop by providing the tools, support, and leadership for the team. This role will build a professional work environment that emphasizes accountability, integrity, and fosters Newport Mental Health’s mission, vision, and core values.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES)…
- Oversees all front desk operations- including but not limited to check-in, check-out, insurance verification, and client registration updates
- Accurately develop and maintain the employee and client electronic health record schedules
- Forecast changes in trends to reallocate labor resources effectively
- Drive organization and efficiency standards
- Effectively communicate business goals and outcomes to leadership and team members in a clear and concise manner
- Develop and execute workflows to achieve clinical quality and efficiencies
- Ensure every client receives the right services at the right time in keeping with best practice standards and NMH scope of services
- Provide operations support for evidenced-based care and best practice clinical workflows
- Communicate regularly with the team to reinforce the core values and mission
- Build and grow a high performing team through coaching and continuous feedback
- Manage personnel related matters including evaluations, terminations, time keeping, and performance improvement plans
- Work in partnership with all clinical programs to maximize program efficiencies for all Access needs
- Adhering to Just-In Time fidelity protocols and workflows, monitoring reports and workflows, and adjusting accordingly
- Communicate with clients and families in a consistent, professional, and timely manner
- Consistently demonstrate behavior and communication styles that reflect NMH core values
WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU…
- A minimum of 5 years successful functioning as a manager/supervisor
- Proven high performance in delivering person centered care
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional verbal and written communications
- Proven ability to multitask and problem solve effectively
- Proven ability to develop community and internal relationships
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly motivated, able to work with minimal direction, and is willing to learn
- Must be proficient with computers and technology
- Solid understanding of insurance and billing operations
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft suite
