WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES) …
This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work individually in a fast-paced environment. Under the direction of the Manager of Facilities and Projects, the Maintenance Technician performs a variety of skilled duties relative to the overall maintenance and safe operation of all NMH facilities located in Middletown, Rhode Island.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks
- General building maintenance and repairs
- Upholds safety standards when performing tasks.
- Maintain inventory records.
- Assemble machines, equipment, and office furniture.
- Perform mechanical repairs.
- Schedules and coordinates maintenance tasks
WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU…
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Knowledge of basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing procedures.
- 1 year or more experience preferred.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently on assignments to completion with minimal supervision.
- Valid Rhode Island Drivers’ License
- Assists with cleaning & overall appearance/general safety.
- Other job-related duties deemed necessary.
