What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Newport Diner?
We're looking for an experienced, friendly, flexible and outgoing Server to join our team. The successful candidate will be a quick learner and able to handle various shifts and changes in a busy restaurant environment. The server will deliver food and beverages to patrons at their tables following company policies for cash handling and food safety. We are seeking a fun, enthusiastic individual who loves working in the hospitality industry!
Hours would be 8am -2pm, a mix of weekdays.
Responsibilities:
- Take in-person meal and drink orders from customers, using a microphone and computer system to communicate with kitchen staff. Deliver prepared food and drinks to customers, using both trays and hands. Relay messages between kitchen staff and customers. Provide customers with feedback about their experience in the restaurant. Reset tables, clean up dishes and glassware, continue to deliver food and drinks, and refill condiments for the duration of the meal service period.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $7.07 - $8.00 per hour
