WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL DUTIES) …

We are seeking a Medical Assistant intern that will shadow the Medical Assistant team assisting the clinical staff in performing their duties and ensure that functions are in the scope of practice and completed within established policies and procedures with the supervision of a licensed medical professional.

Essential Duties:

• Shadowing of the Medication-on-time deliveries, reconciliation and storage of customized pre-packaged medications at the program sites.
• Shadowing of all medication related tasks including medication refills, telephone follow-up and documentation in the medical record.
• Obtain and record vital signs.
• Perform all other duties as assigned under the direct supervision of a qualified licensed medical professional.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU…

• Enrolled in a medical assistant certification program
• Superior organization skills.
• Superior computer skills as evidenced by ability to navigate an electronic health records and other electronic platforms including Microsoft office.
• Demonstrate ability to follow proper medication inventory protocols and report discrepancies.
• Demonstrate ability to work in a team-based environment.
