High School Social Studies Teacher

DAYS PER YEAR:  185  DAYS     PER WEEK:   5     HOURS PER DAY:  7.75 POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:  Candidates who champion a growth mindset and promote a sense of inquiry for all students are greatly valued in our educational organization. The selected candidate will possess an ability to ignite students’ interest in social studies and engage students in meaningful learning opportunities through project-based inquiry.   Responsible for social studies curriculum and instruction for high school students.   QUALIFICATIONS:    REQUIRED:          Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; New Hampshire certification required 7-12 social studies. Must possess knowledge of effective practices including principles, theories, and techniques involved in lesson plan development and classroom instruction. Strong classroom management skills including experience.   PREFERRED:      Two to three years of teaching experience. Experience with competency-based education, dual enrollment courses and psychology courses.    SALARY RANGE: NTA contract    STARTING DATE:        August 15, 2025
