What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Spanish Teacher position at Newport Middle & High School?
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The selected candidate will possess an ability to ignite students’ interest in world languages and engage students in meaningful learning opportunities through project-based inquiry.
Responsible for Spanish curriculum and instruction for high school students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; New Hampshire certification as a Spanish educator.
Must possess knowledge of effective practices including principles, theories, and techniques involved in lesson plan development and classroom instruction.
Strong classroom management skills including experience.
PREFERRED: Two to three years of experience teaching middle and/or high school. Experience with competency-based education.
DAYS PER YEAR: 185 DAYS PER WEEK: 5 HOURS PER DAY: 7.75
SALARY RANGE (where applicable): Per NTA contract.
STARTING DATE: August 15, 2025
