The Role
Performs qualitative and quantitative analyses of organic, inorganic compounds, or biologics to determine chemical and physical properties during chemical syntheses, fermentation or drug product development process by verifying their identity, purity, and homogeneity. Ascertains relationships between molecular structure and physical or biological properties to aid in analysis of compounds and molecules. Conducts research to develop or improve analytical techniques, methodology, procedures, and investigates application of instruments in analysis. Organizes and interprets all data obtained using a wide variety of instrumental technologies. Provides technical support to run the mass spectrometry suite. Provides quality control specifications to ensure process consistency, quality and optimal yield performance.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience; Ph.D. and 4 years of experience.
One of the following may be used as an equivalent to Bachelor's Degree :
Knowledgeable and experience with VELAP and AIHA Accreditations, Environmental Permit monitoring and testing, and be familiar with ISO 17025, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001. Be able to perform Receipt Inspection Testing for Oils and Lubricants and Paints and Coatings and Raw Materials.

- Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
