Ready-Mix Concrete Salesperson
Summary
The Ready-Mix Salesperson is responsible for driving sales and promoting the company’s ready-mix concrete products to new and existing customers. This role involves identifying customer needs, providing product solutions, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The salesperson will manage relationships with contractors, builders, and other industry professionals, while also handling customer inquiries, preparing quotes, and securing orders.
Essential Functions
1. Primarily responsible for selling and promoting ready-mix concrete and construction aggregates.
2. Answer phones, take customer calls on all concrete related topics, quoting customer jobs, managing job files, and working with Quality Control in the back office on internal job sheets.
3. Lead on weekly sales invoicing
4. Part of the team to develop a plan to maximize sales within the territory and achieve sales goals.
5. Responsible for improving profitability while maintaining competitiveness in the market.
6. Coordinate and participate in tradeshows and attend industry related events.
7. Sell “Carroll Concrete” as our customers’ one stop solution.
8. Share sales leads with team members who sell other Carroll product lines.
9. Negotiate contracts and purchase orders with customers.
10. Research specifications and provide quotes for upcoming customer projects.
11. Maintain communications and track job information through the duration of the project.
12. Coordination of daily operations communication (conference call and email).
13. Search for advertised project opportunities.
14. Update sales board, monthly.
15. Handle any customer concerns and work with respective department to find a solution.
16. Responsible for annual customer communication surrounding pricing changes through phone calls, emails, and letters.
17. Responsible for notifying respective departments on prevailing wages jobs.

3. Work safely, wear proper personal protective equipment as necessary
4. Notify manager of any work-related injuries or accidents immediately
5. Other duties and tasks as assigned or as necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of construction industry related experience
- Estimating experience
Skills:
1. Must be computer literate, with strong skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
2. Must work well under pressure and time constraints and can work independently or with a team of people.
3. Must have excellent time management skills, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and have a strong sense of professionalism, as well as the willingness to work long and flexible hours, as necessary.
4. Must be willing to continue to learn and adapt as the position changes.
5. Consistent and proficient use of all software utilized in this position
Restrictions:
1. Must be able to use office equipment effectively and efficiently.
2. Must be able bend, lift or maneuver 1-10lbs as necessary.
2. Must be able to sit for extended periods throughout the workday.
3. Must be able to work flexible hours, as necessary. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
4. Appropriate Company attire is required.
