Who You Are:
Someone with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in heavy-duty truck maintenance including supervisory or leadership experience. CDL-A preferred, NH licensed state inspection officer. DOT Brake Certification preferred.
We are looking for a dependable team player with good communication skills to support the efficient and effective operation of the fleet maintenance department.
What you will be doing:
- Develops and manages preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure peak vehicle and equipment performance.
- Coordinates transportation of fleet for inspections and repairs, and collaborates with the Parts & Service Coordinator to diagnose issues and schedule service.
- Oversees parts ordering and inventory to support maintenance needs.
- Maintains accurate service, repair, and inspection records for compliance and audits.
- Leads, supervises, and trains mechanics, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.
- Manages daily shop workflow, assigns tasks based on skill and urgency, and ensures timely completion of work.
- Conducts daily meetings to review schedules, assign responsibilities, and align team goals.
- Monitors performance, provides coaching, and implements process improvements to boost efficiency and quality.
Additional requirements of this job:
- Ensures adherence to DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations in all maintenance activities.
- Conducts safety inspections and oversees environmental and waste management compliance.
- Leads safety training initiatives and promotes a proactive culture of workplace safety.
Requirements for this position:
- Must be able to lift and maneuver a minimum of 50 to 75 pounds as required throughout the workday.
- Bending, squatting, climbing, standing for long periods of time.
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of vehicles safely.
- Must be able to climb ladders (on vehicles) when necessary.
- Must be able to work long and flexible hours as necessary.
Schedule: We guarantee 40 hours all year round!
