The RMG Quality Manager works collaboratively with the RMG Quality Director on identification, development and integration of best practices in addition to project management support to meet the goals of our population health and value-based payment strategic goals. The RMG Quality Manager assures accurate and timely submission of all required data and information for mandatory and voluntary quality reporting programs related to CMS Medicare Shared Savings Programs (MSSP), Merit-based Incentive Programs (MIPS) and other strategic programs. The Quality Manager assures appropriate and up to date content for ambulatory/medical group education, training and communication related to quality measures and assures alignment/coordination to support population heath initiatives.

Overview

What you will do
- Provides ongoing oversight and up to date knowledge of required quality reporting programs and specific quality measures within each programs. Assures high reliability for recommended evidence-based care for every patient, everywhere, every time assuring a focus on people, process and technology to improve performance. Assures appropriate and up to date content for ambulatory /medical group education, training and communication related to quality management.
- Provides oversight of quality related improvement projects and efforts, assuring alignment and coordination throughout the facility. Facilitate establishment of priorities for performance/ quality improvement activities and development of performance/quality improvement action plans. Supports program development, evaluation, planning, projects, and activities. Facilitate development or selection of process and outcome measures.
- Identifies improvement opportunities based on analysis of attributed patient or population health data, emerging national, state and local quality of care trends and issues. Selects appropriate quality, performance and process improvement methods and tools. Facilitates the use of process analysis tools to display data (e.g., fishbone, Pareto chart, run chart, scatter gram, control chart).
- Assures data is accurate, timely and displayed in meaningful way to end users. Has deep knowledge of quality data applications and serves as content resource on navigation and use. Interprets data to support decision making (e.g., benchmarking, outcome data).
- Provides nursing/clinical subject matter expertise for the ambulatory Care Coordination program by collaborating with system care management leadership to align initiatives, make clinical recommendations on patient interventions to improve care or transition of care needs.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors Degree, Nursing or related field (Required)
Experience
- 3-4 years Hospital or healthcare management or equivalent (relating to quality, safety, and/or risk management (Required)
- 3-4 years Population Health, Managed Care, Payor Relations or Accountable Care Organization Experience (Preferred)
Skills and Abilities
- General clerical skills, to include the ability to use the computer, copier/scanner/fax machine, conference phones, etc.
- Microsoft Office knowledge, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Precise communication skills, written and verbal
- Problem solving skills
- Organizational skills, with the attention to detail
- Time management skills
Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) or licensed in a compact state Upon Hire(Required) and
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) - National Association of Healthcare Quality Healthcare Quality Certification Board within 1 Year(Required)
