What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional position at Newport Town School?
PARAPROFESSIONAL
Newport Town School is a community of learners that fosters each person to be an active member of our community and demonstrate independence, respect, empathy, perseverance, and problem-solving skills.
This paraprofessional position consists of being in a classroom offering either one-on-one student or small group support. This is a school session position, up to 7 hours a day. There are always opportunities to earn additional wages through the After-School and Summer programs.
Candidates must meet the district’s requirements: a minimum of 48 college credits or para-educator certificate and portfolio, or successfully passing the Para Pro Test.
The starting rate of $17.50 an hour or more, depending on prior experience. Benefits per the support staff policy.
