What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Coordinator position at Newport Vineyards?
About The Position: The Marketing Coordinator is a fun, dynamic role responsible for supporting the marketing team in all phases of internal and external marketing initiatives for the winery, brewery, dining, public events, weddings, and private events. This includes but is not limited to social media execution and management, website management, email marketing, and public events.
Work Week: Primarily Tuesday – Saturday 9am – 5pm with some flexibility. Some evenings / additional days required.
About The Company: Newport Vineyards (est. 1995) is a family owned & operated beverage and culinary destination that blends award-winning wine, fresh craft beer from onsite brewery Taproot Brewing Co., farm to table dining experiences, and unique events situated on over 100-acres of preserved farmland.
Primary Duties:
Social Media:
- Manage all social media platforms and ads for both Newport Vineyards and Taproot Brewing Co. brands (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, LinkedIn)
- Content creation, photography, videography, planning and execution
- Keep up on emerging trends and technologies in social media marketing
- Manage communication including inquiries and comments on social media channels
- Monthly analytics and reporting
Website Management & External Sites:
- Regularly update content, products, hours, events, menus, photos on internal and external websites
- Blog creation and management
- Submit events on various local calendars and platforms
- Email Marketing:
- Design and execute weekly email campaigns for both brands
- Import and manage customer database
- Regular analytics, reporting, and insight
Brand Representation at Events:
- Coordinate and represent both brands at off-site events including wine festivals, beer festivals, and community events (includes serving wine and beer)
- Promotions / Partnerships:
- Collaborate with team on internal promotions, marketing collateral, and advertising efforts for both brands
- Coordinate and execute wine competition entries, local partnerships
- Support ongoing PR initiatives
Qualifications:
- Passion or interest in wine, beer, and culinary!
- 2 years in a related field – marketing or food and beverage
- Customer service experience
- Excellent project management skills and ability to multi-task
- Familiarity or experience in photography & social media deployment and management
- Creative and innovative writing and storytelling skills
- Technical computer skills that can be applied in managing website (Wordpress) and email marketing (Mailchimp)
- Design experience including Canva, Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator a plus
- TIPs certification a plus
- Must be available to work nights and weekends as required for specific events
