A well-established law firm is seeking experienced attorneys to join its expanding Healthcare Practice Group:
- Healthcare Litigation Attorney – Focused on healthcare litigation, professional liability defense, and regulatory enforcement matters.
- Healthcare Transactional Attorney – Specializing in healthcare regulatory compliance, transactions, and corporate structuring.
Healthcare Litigation Attorney – Key Responsibilities:
- Handle healthcare litigation matters, including professional liability, medical malpractice, employment disputes, and regulatory defense.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitration, and administrative hearings.
- Draft and review pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and legal briefs.
- Advise clients on healthcare compliance, risk mitigation, and liability issues.
- Stay informed on regulatory updates and industry trends.
- Supervise junior attorneys and review regulatory analyses.
Healthcare Transactional Attorney – Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel on healthcare transactions, corporate structuring, and regulatory compliance.
- Advise clients on Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and healthcare reform.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for regulatory compliance matters.
- Assist in contract negotiations, M&A transactions, and structuring joint ventures.
- Conduct compliance training for clients and internal teams.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage regulatory challenges.
Qualifications & Skills (For Both Roles):
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum 4 years of legal experience in either healthcare litigation or healthcare transactions and regulatory matters.
- Active NJ Bar admission (NY preferred or must be obtained).
- Strong working knowledge of healthcare laws, including HIPAA, Stark, Anti-Kickback, False Claims Act, and state regulations.
- Prior experience as a healthcare prosecutor (e.g., Deputy Attorney General or Assistant U.S. Attorney) is a plus for the litigation role.
- Experience with antitrust and competition laws is a plus for the transactional role.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide practical legal guidance.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.
