Overview

As one of the first lines of customer interaction, you will be responsible for representing NEWPRO in the home, demonstrating our products, and leaving the customer with an exceptional NEWPRO experience throughout the sales process.
The Accounts Receivable clerk will be the backbone of the AR team, providing hands-on leadership to a team of 2 people. This hybrid role requires 3-5 years of experience in cash application and AR management. You’ll lead remotely, ensure timely reporting, and drive process improvements while overseeing daily operations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain an up-to-date AR aging report and resolve discrepancies.
- Oversee daily cash application, ensuring proper posting of payments, deposits, and transactions.
- Manage customer refunds and cancellations, ensuring timely updates.
- Track cash received from installations, sales, financing, and non-financing sources.
- Collaborate with Program Managers to assist in collections when needed.
- Identify and implement improvements to AR processes.
- Ensure job completion before generating customer invoices in partnership with Accounting and Program Managers.
- Perform account reconciliations between AR ledger and general ledger, and between NetSuite and Salesforce.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide statement updates.
- Assist with reporting, internal controls, and audit documentation.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, focusing on cash application and reconciliations.
- Proven ability to lead a small AR team remotely.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and NetSuite (or similar ERP system).
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP accounting practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
