The Accounts Receivable clerk will be the backbone of the AR team, providing hands-on leadership to a team of 2 p Finish eople. This hybrid role requires 3-5 years of experience in cash application and AR management. You’ll lead remotely, ensure timely reporting, and drive process improvements while overseeing daily operations.
Responsibilities:
- AR Management: Maintain an up-to-date AR aging report and resolve discrepancies.
- Cash Application: Oversee daily cash application, ensuring proper posting of payments, deposits, and transactions.
- Customer Refunds & Cancellations: Manage customer refunds and cancellations, ensuring timely updates.
- Funding Activity Tracking: Track cash received from installations, sales, financing, and non-financing sources.
- Collections Support: Collaborate with Program Managers to assist in collections when needed.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to AR processes.
- Collaboration: Ensure job completion before generating customer invoices in partnership with Accounting and Program Managers.
- Reconciliation: Perform account reconciliations between AR ledger and general ledger, and between NetSuite and Salesforce.
- Customer Communication: Respond to customer inquiries and provide statement updates.
- Reporting & Audit Support: Assist with reporting, internal controls, and audit documentation.
Qualifications:

Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, focusing on cash application and reconciliations.
- Proven ability to lead a small AR team remotely.

Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and NetSuite (or similar ERP system).
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.

- Solid understanding of US GAAP accounting practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
