SUMMARY:
Newrest RDU is looking for an AM Airport Delivery Driver. The Driver will work for the Commissary Department. The driver is responsible for loading carts full of food product onto the truck, driving a box truck to the airport, and unloading and delivering the food carts to each respective restaurant.
Hours: 4AM-12:30PM
Pay: $18 per hour

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to a variety of temperatures and climate inside and outside the building. The individual is regularly required to stand, lift, bend over, walk, talk and/or hear. The individual is also required to frequently walk up and down floating stairs leading up to airplanes. The individual must be able to drive a vehicle. The employee will also regularly, push, lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. The noise level may range from moderate to very loud.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure on-time delivery of all items
- Drive a company vehicle while respecting traffic regulations.
- Secure all products before delivery.
- Load and unload of all equipment on a truck in a safe manner.
- Check the conformity of the number of food carts to be delivered before loading.
- Fill pre-trip inspection book and perform mandatory safety checks of the vehicle for each shift.
- Load the products into the vehicles.
- Ensure the vehicle and dock area is clean after each shift.
- Fill out various security, safety, and HACCP documents.
- Train new drivers.
- Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
- Observe the proper use of equipment.
- Regular and timely attendance is expected for the position.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must have a current and valid driver license
- Must be able to pass TSA fingerprint background check
- Any experience with driving is preferred
- Ability to work fast-paced
- Ability to show flexibility in working in various areas of the department
- Ability to know how one’s performance affects the areas before and after you
- Ability to read and speak to understand instructions from supervisors and co-workers
