The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent on-air and social media skills, leadership qualities in a newsroom environment, and be detail-oriented. Candidates must be team players and work well in a fast-paced newsroom. 3-5 years of experience anchoring a newscast and reporting is preferred.

Position Overview: The ideal candidate is a passionate storyteller with a keen interest in current events and a strong commitment to delivering unbiased and objective news to our viewers. You will play a crucial role in researching, writing, and presenting news stories that inform and educate our audience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Anchor multiple evening newscasts
2. Research and Investigation: Conduct thorough research to gather information on news topics, events, and developments. This includes interviewing sources, attending press conferences, and reviewing relevant documents.
3. News Writing: Write clear, concise, and engaging news articles that adhere to journalistic standards. Craft compelling headlines that capture viewers' attention.
4. Coaching and Mentoring: Serve as a newsroom leader, helping mentor multimedia journalists and producers.
5. Interviews and Source Building: Build and maintain relationships with key sources, experts, and community members. Conduct interviews to gather quotes and insights for news stories.
6. Fact-Checking: Ensure the accuracy of information in news stories by fact-checking sources and verifying details.
7. Deadline Management: Meet tight deadlines while maintaining the highest quality of reporting. Adapt to breaking news situations and prioritize tasks accordingly.
8. Community Engagement: Engage with the community through social media, public events, and other platforms to stay attuned to local concerns and interests.
9. Ethical Reporting: Adhere to ethical and professional standards of journalism, including unbiased reporting, avoiding conflicts of interest, and respecting privacy.

Qualifications:
. Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field (Preferred).
. Proven experience as a news reporter or journalist (freelance work accepted).
. Strong writing and communication skills with impeccable grammar and spelling.
. Excellent research and investigative skills.
. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
. Proficiency in digital tools and platforms used in modern journalism.
. Knowledge of media ethics and legal regulations.
. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
