News-Press TV, LLC, a cluster of television stations consisting of CBS, NBC, FOX, The CW, Telemundo, and a 24 / 7 News and Weather channel in St. Joseph, MO, is accepting applications for a full-time Technical Director / Master Control Operator.
Technical Director responsibilities include :
- Directing live newscasts and operating the audio / graphics board.
- Recording programs and commercials from multiple sources.
- Switching programs on-the-air.
- Accurately logging all broadcast materials.
- Tagging syndication and network promos.
- Collaborating with the marketing department on various projects.
- Filming and editing occasional news image promos.
- Performing other duties as needed.
Master Control Operator responsibilities include :
Proficient computer skills are a must for this position, as is the ability to think, act, and work quickly in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar editing programs is also required. Live news experience is considered a plus.
