Technical Director

NewsChannel 21, the dominant news leader in Central Oregon since 1977, has an exciting opportunity within our Operations department: we are looking for a part-time Technical Director to join our control room team and help run our award winning morning newscasts weekdays.

We'll teach the Morning Technical Director (i.e., you) how to run all aspects of the control room including directing a newscast, operating a Wheatstone audio console, creating basic graphics for the news and ensuring over-air content is ready. We're looking for someone who is attentive to detail, can handle multiple responsibilities, enjoys learning new things, and thrives working in a fast-paced but fun and creative environment.

Television is a changing industry, so we would like someone (i.e., you again) to be adaptable to new technologies and workflows. You should possess basic computer skills and have reliable transportation, which is a must for this opportunity. If you think this is the job for you, then we'd like to meet you.
