Key Responsibilities
- Provide engaging and personalized woodwind lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Teach flute, clarinet, and/or saxophone with a focus on technique, musicality, and confidence-building.
- Develop individualized lesson plans that align with students’ musical aspirations and learning styles.
- Create a positive and nurturing learning environment that promotes confidence and self-expression.
- Prepare students for performances, recitals, and musical showcases.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to develop interdisciplinary projects and enhance the overall learning experience.
- Stay informed about innovative teaching techniques and integrate them into lessons.
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least one woodwind instrument (flute, clarinet, or saxophone preferred).
- Strong understanding of music theory and woodwind technique.
- Previous teaching experience preferred, but passionate musicians with a desire to teach are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent communication skills to engage students and establish relationships with parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude that fosters a love for learning.
