Small Business Lending, LLC. is looking to add a Commercial Credit Underwriter to its team.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned as needed)
- Review and analyze loan application documents for completeness, creditworthiness and compliance
- Prepare detailed credit memorandums that include financial analysis, repayment ability calculation, industry research and forecasts, collateral analysis, management structure, projections analysis, and guarantor reviews
- Conduct underwriting calls with borrowers
- Coordinate and incorporate 3rd party reports into the credit analysis
- Review tax returns and tax transcripts as part of credit due diligence
- Prepare approval letters
- Review and compile loan modifications as required until a loan closes
- Review and address credit approval conditions and covenants
- Meet production goals while maintaining quality and compliance
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in credit analysis and underwriting of C&I and CRE commercial loans, SBA 7A and/or 504 Credit & Underwriting experience preferred.
- Formal bank Credit Training Program or RMA Credit Courses.
- Computer literate; proficient with Microsoft Office products, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills are required
- Keen analytical, and decision-making skills are required
- Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships both internally and externally.
Education and Certification Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics and/or Economics
Salary Range: $80,000 to $110,000 annually
