Creating a Safe Environment
- Ensuring Safety: Infant teachers must maintain a safe environment by childproofing the classroom, removing hazards, and supervising children at all times.
- Emergency Preparedness: They should be trained in first aid and CPR and know emergency procedures to handle any unforeseen situations.
Promoting Development
- Emotional Support: Providing a loving and supportive atmosphere that helps infants develop trust and security.
- Cognitive Development: Engaging infants in activities that promote learning and brain development, such as reading, music, and sensory play.
- Physical Development: Encouraging motor skills through activities like tummy time, crawling, and walking exercises.
Daily Care and Routines
- Feeding: Preparing and serving meals and bottles, ensuring that dietary needs are met in accordance with parental guidelines and health standards.
- Diapering and Hygiene: Maintaining cleanliness by changing diapers regularly and sanitizing toys and surfaces.

Experience
