Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of school facilities, including daily cleaning and sanitizing, performing minor maintenance functions, receiving and tallying deliveries, and assuming security responsibilities in the absence of the head custodian.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of school facilities, including daily cleaning and sanitizing
- Perform minor maintenance functions, including painting, glazing, and carpentry
- Receive and tally deliveries
- Assume security responsibilities in the absence of the head custodian
- Participate in training programs designed to improve employee efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements:
- Must have a Black Seal Fireman's License or be willing to obtain one within 2 years
- Shall have sufficient aptitude and skill to make minor repairs
- Shall master use of machines of the trade, including vacuum cleaners, scrub machines, drills, and hard tools
- Must have on file his/her criminal background check
