Technical Director Job Description
The Technical Director (TD) oversees the design of this program for middle and high schoolers. The TD supervises young people, ages 8-16, plans and runs daily activities, assists in promoting the program and more, to create a top-notch experience. The TD is passionate about kids' experiences while at the program; organized, flexible and able to problem-solve; calm under pressure; effective supervisors of young people; and experienced in keeping young people safe while engaging in technical theater work.

Qualifications & Qualities
- Experience engaging and supervising young people ages 9-16, preferably in a recreational setting
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of all aspects involved in technical theater, including construction, lighting equipment, rigging and sound
- Experience managing students with behavioral needs, and skills to intervene directly when necessary to offer a strength-based, empathic approach
- Experience working with students with neurodivergence and other disabilities
- Ability to foresee safety risks and implement proactive practices to keep students safe.
- Proven ability to develop & implement successful operational processes and procedures, preferably in the context of school and / or camps.
- An inclusive mindset and commitment to engaging all enrolled students regardless of background, level of experience, English language ability, etc.
