POSITION: School Nurse
PROGRAM: Special Education Summer School - ESY
SCHOOL: Sandy Hook School (8:30am – 12:30pm) or Newtown High School (8:15am – 12:15pm)
DATES: 6/23/25 – 7/24/25 Monday - Thursday
REMUNERATION: $50.00/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide routine and emergency school health care for students all ages: PreK – Grade 12
Medication administration
Implement all federal, state and local screening mandates and laws
Strong organizational skills
Collaboration with parents and school personnel
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current & valid license to practice in the State
of Connecticut
Experience in a school setting as a Registered Nurse preferred
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree. Current CPR Certification required.
