POSITION: Long-term substitute for Elementary Spanish
(FLES: Foreign Language in the Elementary Schools)

SCHOOL: Hawley and Head O’Meadow Elementary Schools

START DATE: Immediate through June 2025

REMUNERATION: Appropriate salary step per Teachers’ Contract

QUALIFICATIONS: Connecticut Certificate (023 and 101, or appropriate
Elementary K-6 certification with fluency in the written and
spoken Spanish)

RESPONSIBILITIES: Ability to work enthusiastically and effectively with primary
grade students in two elementary schools 

Passion for teaching FLES
 Enthusiasm for curriculum and program development
 Excellent oral and written communication skills
 Outstanding people skills
 Capacity to work across multiple school settings
 History of demonstrating initiative and

resourcefulness
