POSITION TITLE: Summer Program Administrator - SMART Camp/Summer School
LOCATION: Newtown High School
START DATE: June 25, 2025
SALARY RANGE: $50/Hourly
Qualifications:
- Certification in Administration (092) required.
- Ability to work and communicate well with children, teens and adults.
- Highly organized and self-motivated.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to provide concise directions to a wide range of age groups.
- High degree of Professionalism.
- Commitment to promoting a positive culture for students and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage instructors, campers and high-school aged interns.
- Supervise all Continuing Education programs taking place at the High School.
- Oversee daily operations and activities of camp and programs to ensure their success.
- Influence positive development of social-emotional skills in campers.
- Identify any problems and generate productive solutions.
- Implement and manage policies and procedures.
- Assure camper and staff safety; including, but not limited to: sign in and sign out, outdoor activities and

- General hours for the SMART Program Administrator during the program are 7:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Attend a mandatory, staff planning, meeting on June 25, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. You are compensated for
- Maintain the districts expected code of conduct and ethics.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for all campers, students and staff.
- Coordinate the fire and safety drill for each SMART Camp session with administrators and building personnel.
- Maintain a strong line of communication with the Director of Newtown Continuing Education daily throughout
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Continuing Education.
