Prerequisites for this position:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current unencumbered licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Positive Attitude!
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Teamwork, flexibility needed to fulfill job responsibilities, adapting to changes in work environment and accepting supervisory feedback.
- Maintain CPR/Handle With Care Certification (will be provided upon hire)
- Professional, courteous, and respectful interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and other staff.
Competitive candidates will have:
- More than one (1) year of experience in psychiatric nursing.
- Handle with Care and BLS training
- Assessing and Developing Plans of Care
- Thorough Documentation
- Supervising and Delegating Tasks Related to Patient Care
- Monitoring Patients Conditions and Responding Appropriately to Change
- Delivering Treatment According to Plans of Care
- Assisting and Performing Comprehensive Nursing Assessment on All Patients
- Orienting Families and Patients to the Program
- Employing appropriate crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as required.
- Attending educational in-services, staff meetings, and timely completion of online competencies.
