Description :
Director - Revenue Cycle Operations
The Director coordinates, and monitors revenue cycle performance across the hospital system. Works cooperatively with operational and information systems representatives and other New York-Presbyterian Enterprise and Network departments to monitor and improve revenue cycle performance across functions. Champions revenue cycle improvements throughout the organization, working with appropriate managers, including Patient Access, Medical Records, Billing, Denial Management, and Utilization Review to resolve documented revenue cycle issues. Identifies revenue cycle performance trends and escalates to the appropriate executive(s) as necessary. Provides routine updates at key enterprise forums / meetings, including but not limited to Revenue Cycle Principles, Facility Operation, and Department Heads, regarding ongoing activities of the Revenue Cycle. Identifies improvement opportunities and develops solutions for improvement in revenue cycle performance. Develops revenue cycle improvement solutions and strategies. Performs all duties inherent to a managerial role. Participates in hiring, training, evaluation and termination of assigned staff according to hospital policies and procedures.
This is a full time position located at out Midtown Manhattan Corporate Office.
Required Criteria
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
- A minimum of 10 years progressive Finance experience in a health care organization
- 7-10 years Revenue Cycle experience
- Major project experience R Demonstrated conceptual and business analytical skills
- Good data analysis skills
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Hospital Financial Reporting
- Working knowledge of patient registration, admitting, medical records, clinical documentation, billing, accounts receivable, Hospital billing regulatory standards, managed care contracting
