Uses independent judgment to perform simple and complex laboratory tests. Apply the principles, theories and techniques of Medical Technology to produce accurate, reproducible laboratory results. Assume responsibility for problem-solving, quality control, safety and teaching new employees, students and residents. Works under the supervision of the section Supervisor/Manager.
This is a full-time day shift position 4:00am-12:00pm Monday-Friday, located at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
Preferred Criteria
Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

$50.11-$62.33/Hourly

Preferred Criteria
- ASCP certification
- 1 year of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or equivalent unless credentials are grandfathered in as life experience.
- Licensed by New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
- New hires pending a Clinical Laboratory Technologist License: 1. Must obtain the License within 6 months of hire; 2. Must work in a Trainee capacity only.
- Computer literacy.
- Communication skills organized and detail oriented.
