Laboratory Assistant - Microbiology - Variable Shifts/Weekends- Per Diem

Bring your talents to our tight-knit team and provide the support our Laboratory Technologists need to complete tests that drive high-quality care and caring. As a Laboratory Assistant you can help provide quality patient care by accessioning, processing requisition forms, separating samples into aliquots, labeling specimens, and distributing specimens to the appropriate laboratory departments for testing.
This is a per diem position with rotating weekends as needed for day or evening and on an as needed basis based on operations and additional availability. Location is our Weill Cornell campus on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
Preferred Criteria
Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Preferred Criteria
- Some college or technical courses
- Laboratory processing experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Venipuncture experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior data entry experience
