Linen Room Attendant - Laundry - Full Time - Day Shift
In this role, you will provide an accurate and tidy supply of textile items, “fit for use” to the hospitals and assist in the control and tracking of the textile inventory by performing various tasks. You'll distribute clean linen and maintain patient comfort and a culture of compassion, caring, warmth and support within our hospital. Inspect the exterior and interior of each cart for damage or foreign material. Check incoming carts and record the type and quantity of returned textiles. Remove soiled textiles from the chutes located throughout the Hospital tunnel. Weigh and record soiled cart weight. Go above and beyond for patients to deliver superior customer service and and safety at all times.
This is a full time position, working 6:00am-2:00pm, including rotating weekends/holidays.
Preferred Criteria
- High School diploma or GED
- Extensive customer service experience and a desire to Put Patients First
- Experience in stock and distribution
Required Criteria
- Ability to understand and follow oral instructions in English
- Ability to perform certain jobs requiring a high degree of manual dexterity and speed
- Ability to push upwards of 400 pounds
