Coding Manager - Health Information Management (HIM)
Join our tight-knit HIM team and manage the activities and operations of assigned areas of responsibility. Manage assigned areas to promote effective and efficient operations. Establish policies and procedures and ensure practices are consistent with regulatory agencies. Review, recommend and implement changes to departmental program and projects. Participate on hospital teams and committees related to HIM and clinical information systems as required.
Preferred Criteria
Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

$106,000-$157,000/Annual

Preferred Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) through the American Health Information Management Association or equivalent
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS Knowledge of hospital information systems)
- High degree of analytical ability
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications, such as Windows, Microsoft office, etc
- Demonstrated knowledge of Health Information Management functions, policies and practices in an electronic environment.
