Manager - Medical Gas and Plumbing Programs
The Medical Gas and Plumbing Programs Manager is responsible for establishing and monitoring the effective and safe maintenance of medical gas and domestic potable water plumbing systems, including the management of the water management program. Working with the Facilities Operations teams the position with help standardize the medical gas and plumbing programs. The operational management of these systems includes conducting risk assessments, interpreting compliance requirements, and writing and upkeep of the facility’s medical gas management programs, policies, standard operating procedures and water management program.
This is a full time role, overseeing the NYP Enterprise.
Required Criteria
- 10 years experience in healthcare plumbing/domestic water management and/or medical gas management with increasing levels of responsibility for programs.
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Medical Gas Systems Installer (ASSE 6010) within 6 months of hire
- Certified Medical Gas Systems Inspector (ASSE 6020) within 6 months of hire
- Certified Medical Gas Systems Maintainer (ASSE 6040) within 6 months of hire
- Certified Legionella Water Safety and Management Specialist (ASSE 12080) within 6 months of hire
Preferred Criteria
- Certified Medical Gas Generalist (ASSE 6005)
- Certified Bulk Medical Gas Installer (ASSE 6015)
- Certified Medical Gas Systems Verifier (ASSE 6030)
- Certified Bulk Medical Gas Systems Verifier (ASSE 6035)
- Certified Medical Gas Systems Instructor (ASSE 6050)
- Certified Bulk Medical Gas Systems Instructor (ASSE 6055)
- Journeyman Plumbing experience
