Responsible for answering phones, register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, collecting co-pays and other related duties. Feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. In this role, you'll obtain demographic details and insurance information, and ensure proper scheduling. You'll record patient history while obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients. Most importantly, you will be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience.
This is a Full Time Monday-Friday position. Shift varies 8:30am-5:00pm, late nights and overtime as needed. May be required to cover for other practices within Queens.
Preferred Criteria:
- Completed some college coursework and are familiar with health insurance requirements.
- Experience working in a busy medical practice.
- Knowledge/familiarity with Worker’s Comp
- Spanish speaking.
Required Criteria:
- Qualified candidates have at least one year of clerical experience.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first.
