Patient Registrar- Westchester Medical Group - OBGYN - Hartsdale/Bronx/Yonkers - Full Time - Day

Make a lasting impression on patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Westchester as a Patient Registrar. Register patients for a variety of procedures and appointments, and feel the pride of going above and beyond to help others. In this role, you'll obtain demographic details and insurance information, and ensure proper scheduling using EPIC. You'll record patient history while obtaining pre-certification and authorization for patients. Most importantly, you will be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their outpatient office experience.
This is a full time 40-hour workweek position Monday - Friday, hours may vary between 8:00am-6:00pm (with a potential Saturday), overtime as needed. Will be required to go to Hartsdale, Bronx and Yonkers practice locations. Must be flexible and will be expected to provide coverage across other Westchester Medical Group locations as needed.
Primary Locations include:
- 141 S. Central Ave. Suite 205 Hartsdale, NY
- 2510 Westchester Ave, Bronx, NY (Off of the Hutchinson River Parkway)
- 984 N. Broadway, 3rd Floor Ste. 300, Yonkers, NY
Preferred Criteria:
- EPIC experience
- Knowledge of medical procedures, routines, regulations and medical terminology.
- Experience working in a busy healthcare environment.
- Bilingual - Spanish
- Prior experience including OBGYN.
- Knowledge of Coding: ICD 9, CPT-4, health insurance benefits/requirements.
- Some college.
Required Criteria:
- 1 year of clerical experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- Effective communication skills verbal and written.
- Superior Customer Service skills.
- Energetic, approachable individual with a desire to put patients first.
- Must be detailed oriented, able to problem solve and work independently.
- Ability to multi-task and perform various registration duties efficiently.
