Doulas would be responsible to provide emotional and physical support to the patient/ family in all the stages of their labor, birth/postpartum process. The doula will work closely with the birthing team (midwives, nurses and physicians} to provide safe, high quality and culturally sensitive care to all patients giving birth at NYP\BMH.

This is a per-diem night shift position at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
Preferred Criteria
Experience in Childbirth education, labor support, or breastfeeding education and support
DONA International certification preferred or obtain within six months from hire
Certified Lactation Counselor certification preferred
Required Criteria
High School Diploma or GED
Doula certification from an accredited Doula training program
Basic computer literacy
Ability to communicate effectively
Excellent customer service skills
