Position: Online Communications Associate – Development – Corporate
Position Summary:
The Development Communications Associate will report to the Director of Development Communications. This role supports senior Development staff in managing the content process for email, major gift solicitations, stewardship, and fundraising initiatives. The ideal candidate has expertise in project management, content production, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists in development of funding proposals, and/or planning of donor engagement and cultivation events.
- Supports the Development Communications Project Manager in organizing, coordinating, and executing project plans across the entire Comms team.
- Builds and maintains workplans for major projects including proposals, videos, events, and donor mailings.
- Develops and maintains tracking systems for thank you letters, proposals and/or events to ensure smooth and efficient follow-up. Updates Development database with prospect tracking and demographic information.
- Ensures appropriate stewardship of all gifts received, including drafting acknowledgment letters, receipting, and recognition.
- Schedules meetings and handles logistical arrangements.
- Drafts briefings, thank you letters, fundraising reports and other written material as required.
- Assists with scheduling key meetings for senior members of the team
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Required Criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Criteria:
- Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools (Webex Teams, Box, Smartsheet).
This role requires 4 days in office reporting to our Midtown Location.
