Patient Financial Advisor – CNYPAI- Full Time- Days
Combining the academic distinction of ColumbiaDoctors and clinical resources of NewYork-Presbyterian, Columbia/NewYork-Presbyterian Advanced Imaging (CNYPAI) was created to expand outpatient services in Radiology and imaging using MRI and PET CT. Utilizing cutting-edge technology with some of the world’s most respected experts in the field, CNYPAI’s mission is to diagnose and treat a range of diseases and conditions that may otherwise go unnoticed, as well as to further transform research efforts to improve health in individuals and populations, while holding the highest of standards for the patient experience.
The Patient Financial Advisor serves as the patient’s main point of contact and the face of the organization as the patient schedules, is approved for, and registers for treatment. Under the supervision of the Administrator, the Patient Financial Advisor is responsible for scheduling patients for visits, tests, and admissions, registering patients when they arrive, screening for medical necessity, and obtaining necessary pre-certifications and authorizations. These tasks must be completed with an emphasis on both accuracy, to ensure payment from third parties, and customer service, to foster a positive patient experience.
Shifts Available:
7am-3pm Monday-Friday
8am-4pm Monday-Friday
9am-5p Monday-Friday
10am-6pm Monday-Friday
11am-7p Monday-Friday
Preferred Criteria
- Associates degree
- Spanish bilingual
Required Criteria
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of customer service experience
- Experience using electronic health information systems for registration and scheduling
