This is a Full-time Thoracic Surgery Physician Assistant position affiliated with New York-Presbyterian Medical Groups that will be located at New York-Presbyterian/Queens Hospital.

This is a rotating schedule with varied 12.5-hour daytime shifts covering weekdays only (Mon-Fri), including some holidays.

Preferred Criteria

• One year of experience as a physician assistant in Thoracic Surgery preferred, operating experience a plus
• Proficient with patient care and basic ICU management of patients.  Knowledge of chest tube placement preferred but not required.  Able to communicate effectively with: RN's MD's PA's.
• Bilingual is a plus

Required Criteria

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited PA program required
• Current New York State Physician Assistant licensure required
• National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
